Timely Pickup

Chess Club is over at 4:15 pm.  Pickup is from the cafeteria only.  We do not dismiss children to the parking lot, that includes middle school students.  Sign-out sheets are on the front table.  We require that you use them just as if you were picking your child up early from school.  If your child normally goes to the YMCA after chess, but you are picking him/her up that day, please sign them out on the YMCA sheet, so that the YMCA staff knows that you have taken them.  If you have a middle schooler who normally walks home and you want them to do so from chess, you must provide a written, signed letter stating that you understand the risks and that they have your permission to walk home unescorted.

Otherwise, it is your responsibility to be there on time.  Multiple infractions will result in dismissal of your child from the club.  At the time of pickup, it is your responsibility as the parent to see that your child has cleaned up their area.  That includes:

• Putting away their chess set, clock, scorebook, and pencil,

• Wiping off their table,

• Sweeping the floor under their table.
