So far, I know that the following kids have
registered for the Bellaire tournament. Are there any others going?

While we have enough for a full team in
both elementary and middle school, I would like to see more of the team
signed up. Having said that, it is ok for kids who are planning to be on
the team but are in our beginning tournament classes, to not participate
in this event but to wait until the October tournament at our own school.
I also know that it is the opening day of the Fall competitive soccer
season and that we have several kids with direct conflicts with those
games (my son Jim included).
Please wear your chess club t-shirt (the black ones with the white dragon
and chess board on the front). If you do not have one, please get one
this week from the club. They are $10. Parents, you can wear yours also,
though it is not necessary.
If you own your own chess set and clock and want to use them, please bring
them. If not, we will have them available. When you check in between
8:45 and 9 am, look for the team and check in with us. If you are the
first there, please hold table space big enough for 25 - 30 kids and
parents. If you still owe money, or your name is highlighted on the
registration rosters you will need to check in with the tournament as
well.
