- Anyone who
owes money or needs to prove that you have renewed your USCF
membership (i.e. there is a purple note after your name!) must go to
the tournament registration desk in the hotel either Friday night from
7 to 9 or Saturday morning from 7 to 7:45 a.m. Those are the official
registration hours. The desk should be on the 4th
floor outside the Grand Ballroom where the tournament will be played.
- Our team room is on the 3rd floor. Room 329. That is the first
place you go on Saturday morning.
- The schedule says on Saturday March 27th: General
Announcements 30 minutes before 1st round is scheduled. In Grand
Ballroom As the first round starts at 9 am, I am assuming that
the announcements will be at 8:30 am. That means that you should be
in room 329 no later than 8 am! We want you to check in at the room
first.
- If your child has one, we will wear the white T. H. Rogers
t-shirt with the orange RAM logo on it on Saturday. See attached
.jpg. I believe Sue Murphy runs the PTO school store, so you might
see if you can get one tomorrow from her if you do not already own
one.. If not, wear another school t-shirt. (or the black club shirt
2 days in a row?!?) Sue's email is:

- Sunday we will wear the black chess club t-shirts. Hopefully,
we will have some team pictures to take. If you don't have one of
those, I will bring some with me to the tournament. They are $10.
- We will have a couple of tables in the team room where kids can
do homework.
- Chess sets will already be set up in the tournament hall. We
will use club sets in the team room. They do not need to bring
their own. However, if they have a clock that they prefer to use,
they can bring that. Be sure their name is on it.
- There were over 1600 kids registered for this tournament as of
yesterday. Some of the sections have 200 kids. That is a lot of
kids!
My brain is tired tonight. If you think of a question I haven't
addressed, email me. There are probably others wondering the same
thing.
