Basically, I am very happy with the number
of students who have decided to play. However, to have full teams in each
section, we need at least 4 players per section. Of course we would be
happy if anyone else signed up, but we are anxiously looking for a 4th in
both the Middle School Under 900 section and the Primary (second or third
grade) Under 600 section. It seems crazy to give away the team trophies
in those sections just because we didn't send a full team. These are the
lower sections and will have a lot of unrated players in them. So, don't
be afraid to sign up. You won't be playing the really tough competition.
If your child is interested in coming, but you have transportation
problems or something, please let me know (timartha@swbell.net).

Remember, we will be wearing
TEAM T-SHIRTS.
If your child does not own one, please let me know. You can buy one
Saturday morning ($10). I will bring one if you let me know what size.
I have a call into the New Territories club house regarding the skittles
area seating. I am waiting for a call back. From Mr. Liptrap, it sounds
like we will need to bring tables and chairs similar to the Klein Winter
Scholastic. If you have a folding card table, please consider bringing
it.
Food:
At this point
the organizer is planning on selling complete lunches only ... for $6....
either [burger, chips, brownie, drink] or [cheese pizza, chips, brownie,
drink]. With 50+ people (kids, parents, coaches, siblings...), we may
want to bring a cooler with sandwich fixings or just order pizzas directly
or whatever. Let me know what you think and want. We should be able to
do this better and for half the price if people think it is worth it (and
are willing to give me a hand) or if we mark it up a little ourselves, it
will help defray the cost of bringing our coaches.
I will follow up with a last minute email tomorrow night with final
instructions and what time I want you to get there.
