Chess Team Meeting

From recent emails, I see that there is some confusion as to who is expected to be at the 4:30 pm meeting after chess on Tuesday afternoon.  This is a meeting for those kids and their families who are interested in tournament competition.  This includes all grades K-8.  Kindergartners can play in all of the tournaments.  At local events, they are placed in the lowest division to start with.  At regional events on up, there are enough to separate them into their own division.  If you expect your child wants to play in any of the upcoming meets during this school year 2003-2004 and wants to improve their level of play, then you should be at the meeting.

If your child is just a recreational player, then you don't need to be there.

I hope this clarifies the situation.

Please email me if you intend to come.  Don't forget to bring your calendar and have discussed the issues with your child ahead of time (see my previous email if you need a refresher).
