New Sign Out Procedures

Effective immediately, we will be requiring that all children be signed out each week at the end of chess club.  Sheets will be available at the front desk.  This includes the middle school students.  I know in other settings they are allowed to wait in the L shaped drive.  But, it is not allowed for chess club.  They must wait in the cafeteria with the other children.  You must park, walk in, and sign them out.

In addition, I want to reiterate a couple of rules.  Please be sure to go over them with your child.  First offense: they will spend the rest of the club period in the office.  Second offense: they will be suspended from club for one week.  Third offense: they will be asked to leave the club for the semester.
 
  • No child is allowed to leave the cafeteria once they have signed into club. 
     
    • They may not go to the play ground.
    • They may not run around the courtyard.
    • They may not go back to their locker.  If they have left their homework in their locker, they must wait until you (or the carpool driver) picks them up.  You sign in at the office, get a badge and escort them to their locker at that time.  If the child goes to the YMCA, we will call for an administrator to escort them.  They may not go back unsupervised.
       
  • The only exception to this rule is to use the rest room.  If they need to go, they must sign out and back in at the front table.  Elementary students must go in pairs.  The bathrooms they are to use are right before the main office, across from the elementary science lab.
