Format: 5 round Swiss system. Time control: Game/30.

Four sections: Primary K-3, Elementary K-5, Middle School 6-8, High School 9-12; exception for schools using different groupings.
All: Trophies 1st-10th individual, 1st-2nd team. (Top four scorers from a school compose a team.) TCA guidelines to be followed.*
USCF membership required: $12 Scholastic (age 14/under, gets School Mates quarterly) or $17 Youth (age 19/under, gets Chess Life monthly). USCF members must show card or magazine label.
Please bring your own chess sets and clocks if you have them!
Regular registration: $8 entry if postmarked by Feb. 5. Fill out form below completely, must include USCF dues if needed.
On-site (late) registration: 8:30-9:15 am., $15, may be assigned a 1/2 point bye in Rd 1.
Orientation at 9:15 a.m., first round 9:30. Other rounds a.s.a.p., lunch 12-1.

* Primary K-3 scores cannot be applied to Elementary team competition. Elementary K-5 section also includes grade 6 in some public elementary schools. Middle School (grades 6-8) includes grade 5 in some public middle schools. Grade 9 students in a junior high may play either in the Middle School section or in the High School section for a school team they would go to in 10th grade.
